How to create Renko chart in MT4?
Posted by L. C. Chong on May 9, 2011
- Download the indicator here: http://lcchong.wordpress.com/2011/03/09/the-indicator-version-renko-live-chart/
- In MT4, select Tools –> Options.

- If you are using Alpari, you can select Tools –> History Center to download the whole set of history data. If you are not using Alpari, then will very troublesome. Switch to M1 timeframe and keep scrolling to the left to download data as much as possible6.
- On the M1 timeframe, attach the indicator that you download to the chart. Configure the indicator to match your requirements. You can set RenkoTimeFrame to any number other than 1, 5, 15, 30, 60, 240, 1440 and 10080. For illustration purpose, let say you set RenkoTimeFrame to 6 on EUR/USD M1 chart.
- Then select File –> Open Offline. Look for EURUSD, M6 and then click Open.
- Once you open the offline chart, change the chart type to Candlestick.
- Then you can attach any of your favorite indicators to the chart.
- Remember that you have to open the M1 chart together with the M6 chart, so that you can get the real time Renko update.
