Hi Mr Chong,
I have read Dan Valcu’s article on Using The Heikin Ashi Technique. In that article, he provided a simple excel formula to generate Heikin Ashi candle charts. From the above article, I noticed that you have been able to generate a “Smoothed Heikin Ashi” signal in Metatrader. Can I find out from you, do you know of the formula that can calculate the ‘Smoothed Heikin Ashi’ candle charts in microsoft excel. I dont use Metatrader and I’m not familar with it either. Just thought of using a simple excel spreadsheet to generate the Smoothed Heikin Ashi candle charts would be good enough for me. Hope you can help, thanks very much.

no – sorry if I didn’t explain properly. What I would like is the bar shown in the chart at the top of this thread in normal Heiken Ashi rather than smoothed Heiken Ashi.

Hi, the calculation of heiken is broken, as it is in many implementation.
You have to replace MODE_ with PRICE_ because the correct parameters for iMA are starting with PRICE_ (OPEN,HIGH,LOW,CLOSE)

That one does not work for me. I like yours except no yellow dots, and prefer as Solid Lines, Red and Blue instead of dots.
Thanks

Would it be possible, in addition to just the two colors, that it could be displayed as Bars instead of small boxes?

Is it possible to have only two colors in this indicator? Sometimes get consecutive yellow which confuses. Also I tried to make subgraph bigger (by stretching the top margin up) to make the bars bigger but the bars are set width no matter how wide the subgraph. I want to make the bars wider so I can see easily…

Otherwise an excellent indicator. Thanks Mr. Chong !
